FIC: Untamed 8/?

This part is kind of long but I have been away for a while. I wasn't getting 
any of my mail from yahoo groups for a couple of days and like a dumbass it 
didn't sink in. Anyway here it is. Jen

Spoilers: I guess all of the shows this is A/U but some of it might come up.
Summery: Sequel to Wild one.


Willow pulled the car into a parking spot at the rec center. Buffy looked 
at her and laughed, ? I don?t think I would be very good at basketball right 
now.?
?Nope me either and they would just think you were hiding the ball under 
your shirt anyway.? Buffy slapped her girlfriends arm, ?That was so not 
funny.?
?Depends on who you ask.? Buffy got out of the car and they made their way 
to the front door and Willow led them to a room in the basement. Buffy 
looked around at the room and was getting ready to ask what was going on 
when a woman in her thirties interrupted her. Willow smiled at the woman and 
hugged her.
?So Will, glad you made it tonight and you brought someone with you?, she 
said.
?Yeah, Mary I would like you to meet my girlfriend Buffy. Buffy this is 
Mary. Mary?s husband as been helping me out.?
?You need to go talk to Steve for a minute before things start?, Mary said 
and seeing her hesitate said, ?Go on, I?ll make sure Buffy finds some place 
to sit.? Buffy watched Willow walk away and turned her attention back to the 
woman standing beside her. Mary looked at her, ?So did she tell you why you 
are here tonight??
?No, I don?t even know what here is?, Buffy answered even though she had an 
idea where she was, she just wanted to hear someone say it out loud.
?Welcome to the Sunnydale AA meeting. Willow said she was going to tell you 
but I guess she chickened out. For someone who fights vampires and demon, 
she sure is afraid of you.? Buffy looked at her in disbelief, ?She told you 
about that.?
?I?m a cop on the SPD. She thought it would be a good idea to have someone 
on the inside. I guess she must trust me because for a minute I was ready to 
call for the rubber room but then things started to make sense. She told me 
about slayers and watchers. I went out one night with Faith and her. I?m 
impressed with the way you all handle things. It hard to believe that she 
was dealing with that on top of everything else. Buffy some of the things 
you will hear tonight might be hard to handle. She told me about the things 
she went through. I have been a cop for ten years and I have never heard 
anything close to it. It is kind of ironic I was the first one on the scene 
when her mom killed her dad; it was my first night on duty. I can still see 
the it in my head today.? Mary and Buffy sat down and she tried to prepare 
herself for whatever she was going to hear tonight. She caught Willow eyes 
and smiled hoping she could give her some strength to get through the 
evening. She watched the people move about and lost herself in the memories 
of the last six years. She remembers the feeling of seeing Willow leaning in 
the doorway at her mom?s house after three years. Realizing that she was 
Faith new watcher and would be staying. She remembered falling in love with 
the new person that Willow had become. Pictures flew through her head of 
Willow, the teacher. Willow, the watcher. Willow, the mother and finally 
Willow, the girlfriend. Buffy loved them all. She thought about moving into 
their house after Willow adopted Anna. Buffy remembered the look of joy when 
the doctor told them they were going to have twins. She thought about Dawn 
telling her about the day the twins were born. Buffy called her at school. 
Dawn was in her class and Willow just walked out. Didn?t say a word just 
walked out. A minute later she flew back in grabbed Dawn by the shirt and 
dragged her out saying she was going be a mother again. She remembered the 
words of love Willow whispered whenever another contraction would hit and 
she thought she wouldn?t make it. Images kept flying through her mind, 
Willow holding the babies in the birthing room for the first time. The 
picture that Xander took of the six of them on the twins first birthday. 
Sunday cookouts with the whole family. The kids running around and the 
adults talking. Buffy knew that they had had there bad times but they had 
survived, just like they would survive this and would move on. Willow had 
made the first step. Buffy?s trip down memory lane was cut short when she 
noticed the Willow had stood up and started taking. Tears began to form in 
her eyes when Willow began to describe what she had gone through growing up. 
Mary took Buffy hand and for the next hour as Willow described her hell, she 
never let go.

Willow made her way over to Buffy after the meeting. It was hard for her 
to see Buffy cry and knew that she should have prepared her for what she was 
going to hear but didn?t how she would have done that. Buffy said goodbye to 
Mary and led Willow out the door and to the car.
?Willow, I am so proud of you. More so now. I just want you to know that 
when your ready we can talk about this?, Buffy said not wanting to rush 
things.
?Thank you but I think I have talked about enough bad stuff tonight.? Willow 
started the car and pulled out into the road. Buffy sat back and held onto 
Willow hand. She listened to the radio playing and realized she hadn?t been 
this relaxed since Willow had left. She was so caught up in her thoughts 
that she didn?t realize that they had pulled up in front of their house 
until Willow got out of the car. Buffy looked at her girlfriend curiously, 
?Uh, Will, I thought we were going for food.?
?We are I just need some papers from the office.? Buffy followed her into 
the house and was surprised to smell food. She found Willow in the dining 
room, which was bathed in candlelight. She noticed that dinner was on the 
table, ?How?.
?I had some help from a couple of cupid wanna be?s and I have to tell you 
how scary it is to see Faith get excited about playing cupid.? Buffy pulled 
Willow into a kiss and whispered in her ear, ?Remind me to thank them 
later.? They ate dinner and talked about the kids and what Willow had been 
doing the last month. Willow told her about Kim and the professor she was 
seeing. Buffy shared her jealousy over Kim. Buffy sat at the kitchen table 
and watched as Willow put the last of the dishes in the dishwasher. Willow 
looked up and decided it was now or never. She walked over and got down on 
one knee in front of Buffy, ?I know that things have been really messed up 
lately. I never meant to hurt you. To repeat something you said to me a long 
time ago, I had this whole big speech for you but the minute I saw you it 
went right out the window. I know that I have hurt you but if you?ll let me 
I want to spend the rest of my life making up for it. Buffy Summers will 
marry me?, Willow asked with tears in her eyes. Buffy wiped the tear that 
was making it?s way down Willow cheek and smiled, ?I would be honored to 
marry you.? Willow mouthed opened but nothing came out. She pulled Buffy 
into a hug. Buffy laughed as she saw Willow do her happy dance.
?Buffy you just made me the happiest woman alive right now.? Buffy hated to 
break up the happy dance Willow was doing but she had to go to the bathroom. 
Willow took this time to alone to make a phone call. When Buffy got back she 
sat down on the couch and they cuddle and cried not tears of pain or hurt 
but of joy and peace. Ten minutes later there was a knock on the door and 
Buffy asked, ?Who can that be??
?I hope that you don?t get mad but I wanted our family to be here to help us 
celebrate? Willow said as Buffy got up to answer the door. She found her 
mom, Giles, Tara, Faith, Cordy, Xander, Dawn and all the kids standing on 
the front porch. They all walked in and when Anna saw the tears in Buffy 
eyes she got mad.
?So mom what did you do this time to make Buffy cry. It?s not bad enough 
that you?re trying to destroy our family. Why don?t you just stay away?, 
Anna yelled and ran upstairs. Willow started to follow but Buffy stopped 
her, ?I?ll go talk to her.?

Buffy knock on the teens room and opened the door. Anna was sitting on her 
bed crying.
?So you want to talk about what happened down there?, Buffy asked.
?I?m tired of all the hurt. Why can?t she just let it go and move on with 
life? She has a family that needs her.? Buffy sat down on the bed beside her 
daughter, ?She is. Do you want to know where we went tonight? She took me to 
an AA meeting. She has been going every night for the last month and she is 
seeing a therapist. It?s going to be ok. This family isn?t going anywhere.?
?So why where you crying when we came in??
?Because I asked her to marry me?, Willow said from the doorway. Anna looked 
between her mom and Buffy. Buffy nodded and Anna groaned, ?So I pretty much 
acted like an ass for nothing.?
?Yup?, Willow laughed. Buffy got up and put her hand on Willow shoulder and 
walked out.
?So you?re coming home then??
?Yup, I love you all, this is my family and I?m sorry things have been so 
crazy. So what do you say we go round up the kids and put them to bed and 
then go party with the grown ups. I think you?ve earned it and by the way 
don?t say ass for at least another few years.?


Xander and Buffy sat on the couch and talked, ?So now that you guys are 
getting married I wanted to ask you something. I was thinking about trying 
to find Will?s real dad. You never know he might actually want to know that 
he has a daughter and four grandkids floating around out there.?
?Can you do that?, Buffy asked.
?I think so. I can do most of the search on the Internet and Angel can do 
the finding.?
?Go for it but don?t tell Willow until you find something. No sense in 
getting her hopes up. But if you find something tell me first before you 
hunt them down just in case she doesn?t want to find him.?

Willow came down the stairs after getting all the kids settled in and 
surveyed the room. Someone had turned on the stereo and Joyce and Giles and 
Tara and Faith were dancing in the middle of the room. Buffy was sitting on 
the couch deep in conversation with Xander. Cordy, Dawn and Anna were 
laughing in the corner. Willow leaned on the wall and thanked god for giving 
her a second chance with her family. Willow walked over to Buffy held out 
her hand, ?Would you to dance?? Buffy stood up and led Willow to the middle 
of the room. Everyone stood back and watched the young couple and were 
relieved that life was good again.
