Buffy/Willow Archive Email errors

Yeah, sorry...

what happens is that the program is having trouble identifying some
email addys such as .au or if you put a dot between some words in your
email for example: kim.ber@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and such. Our most
talented database administrator is working on fixing that little bug
but for now, try using a different email addy like yahoo or hotmail or
excite and such. It's temporary till it's fixed then you can change
your email addy in your profile anytime

Not sure if this is just me or anybody else, but I am getting an
error message while trying to register, please give valid email
address, and i double and triple checked before clicking register.
it's an australian yahoo one, so .au on the end, would that be a
problem, anyway, let me know please what i might be doing wrong?
