Well, I've missed you and it's great to come back from my trip and find
new fic from you. Oh, God, how wonderful it would be if B/W actually
had a serious conversation about things. Unfortunately, poor Willow
seems to be being kept entirely off to the side this year, so no luck.
(No wonder Aly looks so bored...) Count me among those who much prefer
your Season 7.

And THANK YOU so much for suggesting that Buffy only let Giles take
Willow away after an all-night screamathon. (Not that you could tell
this from the first two eps of this year, where apparently Willow had
spent the entire summer in England without Buffy ever, you know,
*calling her* and *talking to her*. Grumble, mutter, bitch, groan.)  

And I loved that the fic ended with Willow thinking back to "Passion"
and the last time they spent the night together (although I'd argue that
it's implied they spent the night together in "Tough Love"--Tara's in
the hospital, Willow says she can't sleep by herself, and it's Buffy who
rescued her from Glory, so...). Amazing that "Passion", an ep that was
so heartrending for me to watch that I couldn't finish it the first time
I saw it (last year), now qualifies as the "good times". (Because I
knew that however horrible the things the outside world was doing to
Buffy, Willow, Xander, Giles and Cordy were, they were good people and
great friends and would always have each other, and I don't get that
from the show any more.)

Well, I don't mean to head full-steam into bitterness, it's just that
your writing is so much more like what I want the show to be (aside from
the slash element, I mean), that I can't help but make a comparison.
