Running water? What's that?
I just had to throw in my two cents here; there are a lot of communities in
the USA that do not have running water or plumbing now, today. Thus it
wasn't such a leap for me to believe that turn of a century boarding house
in the wilds of Alaska didn't have it. And, if my electric Coop history
serves me well, electric power wasn't installed in most of the rural areas
of the country until after Second World War. (By rural areas I'm talking
about the Southeast NC, GA, AL and the West, Nebraska, Wy....) It started
out as a get back to work initiative during the depression and then grew
into a "national defense" plan during the war.
But with a 1000 people on this list I'm sure someone would know?
I really like the story so far BG; I like how you had it very believable
that Willow/Megan followed Buffy/Giselle. A woman in that time period would
be frightened to leave the house in the middle of the night and yet the way
you set-up Megan's instant attraction it made it acceptable. I, also, liked
how you described the faces of the vampires and the fact that even with the
proof of her own eyes Megan still couldn't quite believe it.
Can't wait for more!
