Kirayoshi,

I've been an admirer of your stories for some time now including 
Defenders of the Night.
I have been eagerly anticipating this chapter but after reading the 
fight between Buffy and Spike, I'm left with a sour feeling and not 
because Buffy is in trouble. The problem I have is that the fight 
between Buffy and Spike lacked credibility.
Your description of why Spike got the upper hand on Buffy sounded 
like something the ME writing staff would come up with.

Just my opinion, but reread what you wrote and see if you don't 
agree with me.
