Bwah! Excellent point. I read somewhere in someone else's fic that they said she transferred in around September... I guess it stuck in my head. Itwould make sense here where I live, since our school year starts at the beginning of August, but I think it's different everywhere.

PS-tiny nitpick (sorry, but it's an addiction): it's spring semester
when Buffy transfers in. Not only is she "the only new girl" (surely
there would be more at the start of school year) but she's behind in all
her classes, and thus needs Willow's help to catch up. Plus she's
already sixteen (as per Joyce's comments in "The Harvest"), so we're
past her birthday, which is in January.

This doesn't diminish my enjoyment of the fic one iota, mind you :)
