I agree with you on that being the usual attitude that Buffy would 
show, however I think that I wasn't clear on what happened, probably 
because it was from Giles POV. I meant it to mean that he somehow 
convinced Buffy that he had already captured Willow at that point, 
and would kill her if Buffy was armed, or had company. Sorry for the 
misunderstanding. Then, when he says that he's going to kill Willow 
anyway, she manages to defeat a two thousand year old immortal when 
she has no sword.
