Re: Fic; Life: Version 2.0 (3/?)
Kirayoshi,
Nice work, from Buffy's righteous anger to the continuity with Willow
and the stones to a Spike-dusting. (Although I have to say he went down
a little too easily...oh, well, no loss.)
The idea that Willow falls prey to the flu instead of Buffy works
well--she's the one who's emotionally vulnerable and we know that can
affect the immune system. Sorry to see Will hasn't gotten around to
filling the group in on pending menaces yet, not just for the kids the
Kindestod is after, but I really wish someone would pull the swim team
out of the steam room. (Gage, at least, doesn't deserve it, IMO.)
I prefer to explain the "Normal Again" retcon as a fear of Buffy's that
she now mistakes for reality (due to the stress/the resurrection/the
monks altering her memories/sloppy writing or whatever), since IMO it
doesn't fit at all with the Buffy/Joyce relationship of S1-3. But this
wasn't a bad use of it, I must say.
More! Sooner! (Please?)
Dan
PS--you went the wrong way on Oz. The main cast is the class of '99,
and therefore born in 1981 (as confirmed by Buffy's tombstones). Oz is
a year older (see "Phases") and so should be born in 1980.
