Okay, I'm totally stealing this quote. Patrick, you've perfectly summed
up Hell--er, the UPN years for me. I'd be watching Buffy or Willow or
Xander or Giles and the only thing that seemed familiar was the face of
Sarah/Aly/Nick/Tony or whoever--nothing in the story rang true to the
characters.  

So sad that ficcers can make us see the characters in our mind's eye,
and yet highly-paid writers, who actually had the actors playing the
parts, couldn't make them believable.

who just listened to the "Wild at Heart" DVD commentary where Joss says
at the end "Of course, we've just been phoning it in for the last three
years." The sad part is, he thinks he's joking.
