Re: FIC: The red headed Slayer 5/?

Jen,

Yes, you are taking the long way, but at least I can see some hope on
the horizon.

All-knowing, Generous, Wonderful Tara always did set my teeth on edge,
but at least you layered the "party girl" persona on top to make things
a little interesting. And I can take comfort in the fact that there are
things Willow didn't tell Tara--she doesn't know about the slaying, and
she didn't tell Tara her real age, either. But Willow clearly wants
something deeper (she's calling Tara "my girl" after just one night, for
pete's sake!) and yet a part of her brain is telling her Tara isn't the
one, so she's holding back.

Of course, even if there really isn't a four-year age gap, there still
is the "maturity gap". Willow even calls herself one of the "adults"
and excludes Buffy. I must say it's very interesting to see Buffy
trying to prove she's "not just a kid" in a B/W fic--that's something
more from Buffy/Giles fic, or perhaps B/Angel.

Nicely developed, Jen. The slightly-longer chapter was worth the
effort, I'd say!

Dan

PS--didn't like Buffy "ewwing" at the idea of her and Cordy though.
Even if that's just my "B/C=hot!" mind at work.

BTW, Cordy's really sweet in this one. Liked the scene of her and
Willow bonding. Hmm, if Willow can see Cordelia as an adult, then she
should be able to see Cordy's friends that way, too, right? Here's
hoping...
