My two dinars worth;
Actually, as a heterosexual male, I can write quite well from the point of view of someone who would be attracted to either Buffy or Willow. I think the problem is not who writes the story, but how they approach it. I try to work with the characters and storyline first, then the sensuality. I feel that if I flesh out the principle characters and make the reader believe that they want to be together, the moment when they do get together will carry more impact.
No offense meant to anyone on the lists, but the argument that heterosexuals shouldn't write lesbian scenes makes as much sense as saying that you should have mob connections to make a movie about mobsters. Uh, anyone for Martin Scorsese, or Quentin Tarentino?
Don't recall the original greek translation, but I remember a phrase from my college writing labs; "I am human. All that is human is within me."

Friends are the DNA of society. They are the basic building blocks of life. If you have a couple of good ones, treasure them like gold. There's nothing better. Ever look at that MCI ad they have, "Friends and Family"? Who do they mention first? Your friends help you carry the big weight in life. That big burden we've all got called, "What the Hell am I doing?"
