Ah, this is so much better than the Season 7 we got. And do you know
why? Because it actually focuses on those "boring, old, played-out"
characters of Buffy, Willow, Xander, Dawn and Anya, instead of Spike,
Spike, 10.000 faceless Potentials, Spike, the endlessly nattering but
impotent "big bad", Spike, and punishing Buffy so we'll be glad she's
off the show. Instead of "we're at war", we have normal interaction and
character growth. Instead of closed-off brats we have decent people
trying to help each other. I could rant forever about this, but let's
just hit some of the nice points of the fic:

? Willow working at the Magic Box, thereby both making her amends to
Anya and also to Dawn (by taking over Dawn's own debt to Anya).  

? Buffy getting called on her overly "motherly' treatment of Dawn

? The fact that the room-swap was done in Willow's presence and with
her consent instead of just being presented to her as a done deal.
Having people show respect for each other--it's nice :p

? The more frequent interlacing of Willow's visits to Tara's grave and
her making decisions on her own instead of having them forced on her
externally.

And of course the smoochies---and the fact that they DON'T solve
everything. Looking forward to the rest.

a willow tree.
