See, this is the kind of thing I want to deal with in 'The Chosen'. Buffy is finally accepting her role in the distancing between her and her friends, and realizing that she is still human, first and foremost. I think she allowed herself to forget that in Season Sux, especially after Spike's "You came back wrong" diatribe. Ironically, Spike was the only character who was written write in Seasons six. He was still the same evil, petty 'love's bitch' from seasons two/three, but the others degenerated, mainly to make him look good.

Rather than ignore the mistakes of Season Seven, we're going to face them head on, and allow Buffy and the others to rebond. It's a challenge, but I think it's gonna be a fun ride.

"Friends are the DNA of society. They are the basic building blocks of life. If you have a couple of good ones, treasure them like gold. There's nothing better. Ever look at that MCI ad they have, "Friends and Family"? Who do they mention first? Your friends help you carry the big weight in life. That big burden we've all got called, 'What the Hell am I doing?'"
