Re: Re: Merrick Question
Joss did write the comic too. I read somewhere a bit from Joss saying that
the comic was his chance to go back and tell the story the way he originally
wanted to. Can't remember where I read that or I'd dig it out. I think it
was in the editorial section of one of the Buffy comics. Anyway, based on
my memory of that, it's my impression that the comic version, with Merrick
shooting himself before Lothos can turn him, is the one Joss prefers.

I believe that JW used the movie (as horrible as it was) as Canon, not
the comic.
