Re: Fic: Subterfuge (33-34/?)

Just as good as I thought they'd be.  (And no, I'm not fishing for
another dedication.)  Liked the bit about Buffy finally being ready to
love Willow, which is in keeping with the general view of their
relationship as always evolving tha you've had in this fic.  It even
makes sense that there aren't going to be any angsty "telling" scenes
here, since B/W have been living together and sleeping in one bed and
dancing close at the Bronze.  Even Xander couldn't avoid getting hit
with a clue-by-four *that* big :)

The shower scene was a nice followup on the scene early in the fic where
Buffy is visualizing Willow in the shower.  Now she has firsthand
knowledge :)

Have to point out that Buffy's bad cooking isn't really supported in
canon.  Remember her insistence on throwing a big Thanksgiving in
"Pangs"?

"I'm a great cook.  In theory, anyway.  I've eaten a lot." Buffy to
Riley, "Pangs".  (And everyone did appear to have enjoyed the meal at
the end of the ep.)

OTOH, your having Dawn be a good cook is actually supported her "Joyce's
favorite" role in Season 5, even if there were attempts to regress her
on this later.  

Dawn's attitude is hardly a surprise:

> "I'm so happy that you guys are together-together that I could do
cartwheels!"

...especially since Dawn always has seemed very enthusiastic to be
around lesbians.   Why do I get the feeling that cartwheels aren't the
only thing she's gonna be doing after being around B/W regularly?

But there still remains one important question:

> How was she supposed to act all parental when all she really wanted to
do was kiss Willow? 

Go Willow.  Choose Willow! :)
