Unfortunately Fox's audience is primarily comprised of narrow minded 
bigots who revel in the attacks Fox consistently makes on anything or 
anyone who has a different opinion than what they consider valid.

Thus the high percentage of votes against. 

Actual opposition is only about 53%, down from 65% in 1996.
