Thing is, though, there's nothing suggesting the Slayers are "primal" or
animalistic, anywhere in canon.  Even CaveBuffy didn't growl or purr
(although she did rely on sniffing and touch more than normal).

My only guess is that since "Get it Done" claimed the Slayer power was
alien and demonic, people are now writing Buffy as if she was a vampire
or a werewolf, fighting/reverting to the beast inside, but I really
don't see any support for that view.
