But, I"m not sure if I would say she's reverting to the beast inside. I 
brought this topic up in part because I didn't understand where it came 
from, because it does seem that soo many authors use it. But if done 
well within the story, I find it plausible that Buffy, Faith or any 
Slayer would do these things, have them inherent in their nature. 
People do use sound instead of words to make a point at times, a 
scream, a moan, sometimes even growling (though I have yet to meet 
someone who can purr), but in the stories, it seems like so much more. 
Yes very Primal. But I'm not sure animalistic is the right word for it.
