Pern is a world, from a book series i think..(like lord of the rings 
or forgotten realms worlds)  I dont really remember all to much about 
it at the moment, but anyway and ohwell, hope that helped a bit 
atleast. Author of the series is Anne McCaffrey, so do a search on her 
if you want more info.
The story starts out W/T, but wanders over into B/W fairly early in 
the story, but as for how it ends, .. well the ending isnt written 
yet, so its sortof up in the air.  i even think there is a poll 
somewhere on that web page for what pairing people want the series to 
end with.
