But here's the thing Bob...To discredit any virtual season is 
offensive. And I'm not just talking about Watchers here as I'll 
explain.

I'm not a B/G or a B/S shipper in the least. I can't see the appeal 
personally, but that's me. I realize however that some folks do and 
if they want to make a virtual series based on that angle then I say 
good for them. I'm not going to criticize THEM based on the fact it 
isn't what 'I' like. In fact we'd be happy to link to any Buffy based 
VS (and we have) because variety is the spice of life after all. Yes, 
even a W/B VS would be welcome to trade links with Watchers if they 
liked. 

I guess if the intention wasn't to offend, instead of 'not mentioning 
names' (yet giving detailed descriptions) why not say something broad 
like 'There are lots of VS's out there based on Buffy characters so 
why not have a B/W friendly VS? An here's why...!' No need to run 
down the work that others are currently doing. Instead, focus on why 
doing a W/B VS would be a great idea. Heck, when spoken positively, 
someone might pick up the banner here and run with the W/B idea.

As I said, I have nothing against the idea of any VS - W/B included - 
but personally I certainly wouldn't talk anyone down who isn't doing 
things the way `I' see it. You feel that Buffy would be part of the 
council. I see Buffy as taking the time to be the `normal girl' she 
always longed to be. Neither one of us is right nor wrong but I won't 
criticize you for your beliefs. All I ask is not to be criticized for 
mine.

I realize there's more than one way to tell a story and even though 
the content on certain sites might not be my cup of tea I commend the 
people that have the guts to do. It's a lot of work running a VS, 
lemme tell ya.<G> So intentional or not, it came off offensive and 
again, not just to Watchers, but to everyone who puts the time in to 
run a VS. 

But let me ask this...would anyone here bash a fan fic author who 
wrote in a ship that you didn't care for? Well, maybe you would<LOL> 
but I know most people would say no. They just wouldn't read it or 
comment on it. So why is it okay to do the same to the different 
hosts of VS's out there? Point is, it's not. 

That's all I'm saying.
