Awwwww&okay, never mind the smoochies.

I remain a tremendous sap for Willow crying herself to sleep in Buffy's
arms.  (And I think that puddly sound you might be hearing from Brazil
is Rod likewise melting, if I know my listdad <g>)

You danced around it a little, but I'm starting to suspect that the
"small hand holding the stake" was Willow's, not Buffy's.   If she made
the choice to dust VampKennedy to save Buffy, then obviously it's not
just the fear of vainyness that made her run, it's guilt for not loving
Kennedy the way Ken loved her.  (And, I'm sure, Willow also convinced
herself that she didn't love Tara enough, either, and was responsible,
somehow, for her death, too.)

Don't know if I can get on board with "Kennedy betrayed us by choosing
to get turned".  Yes, there probably is a conscious decision (and thus a
reason for the guilt Angel feels [and Spike *should* feel] somewhere,
but with the blood loss and the imminent death, it's probably tough to
be rational at that point.  It is, after all, a decision that Willow
knows Jesse made, that Willow knows *she herself* made in one reality
(and is informed that Xander made it there, as well), so I find the
judgement a little harsh.  But that can be ascribed to the emotion of
the moment, anyhow.

(I'd assume a lack of vamped slayers would because the vamps wouldn't
want themwhy reward someone who killed so many of your kind?  Why
take the chance she still wants to slay you?  Or that she somehow
retains some of her Slayer Strength, and is thus much stronger than any
other vampire?  Far better to drain her and violate her corpse, as far
as victory parties go, I'm thinking.)

Anyway, I reiterate:  awwww.
