Summary:  Buffy and Willow must confront the Most Terrifying 
Slashfic Cliche, which their Ship has managed to avoid for the most 
part.


Willow:  Sob!

Buffy:  (holding Willow)  It'll be OK, Will...  I'm here...  (kiss)

Xander:  (walks in)  Willow!  What's wrong?

Buffy:  She and Kennedy had a fight.  I'm comforting her.  (smooch)

Willow:  Oh, Buffy...  (smooch)

Xander:  Um...  This fight wouldn't happen to be over these 
smoochies, would it?

Willow:  Sniffle...  Sob!  (buries her face in Buffy's cleavage)

Buffy:  Xander!  Can't you see she's hurting?

Xander:  Yeah, but...  OK, she's nuzzling your neck, now.

Buffy:  And I'll give her however much comfort she needs, for as 
long as she needs...  Mmmm...

Xander:  Um...  This kind of comfort looks like it could lead to...

Buffy:  Sex?  Of COURSE, it will!  It always does.

Xander: Huh?!!  What do you MEAN, always?

Buffy:  Jeez, Xander...  Sigh...  When it's adventure types like us, 
whenever someone's being comforted by someone of the same gender, it 
ALWAYS leads to sex.

Willow:  Yeah, Xander, don't you know anything?  Yeah, right 
there... 

Xander:  So, you two have...  comforted each other like this before?

Buffy:  Well, DUH!  We do it all the time.

Willow:  We've been through a lot of traumas, you know...

Xander:  Neither of you ever comforted ME like that!  Or ever let me 
comfort you like that!  I'M the Comfortador...

Willow:  It doesn't work that way, silly!

Buffy:  Yeah!  You'd have to be comforted by Giles, or something!

Xander:  What?!!  Wait...  How long have you two been comforting 
each other like this?

Buffy:  Oh...  Remember the first time you guys ran into vampires?  
Willow was totally traumatized by that...

Willow:  But Buffy was very comforting.  (smiles)  And, she gave me 
my first orgasm!  Then, I got to comfort her when we found out Angel 
was a vampire!

Buffy:  Then it was Moloch...  Had to do a lot of comforting, 
there.  And the Prom, that year?  First, I had to comfort her over 
you, then I had to comfort her over finding those bodies, then SHE 
had to comfort ME over the prophesy, then over the trauma of what 
happened with the Master...

Willow:  Both before she left for the Summer and after she came 
back.  Oh, remember the time you broke a nail?

Xander:  Ooooh K...  And you just figured out you were gay three 
years later?

Willow:  Hey, those were all very traumatic events!

Xander:  So, what set off this fight with Kennedy?

Buffy:  (grumble)  It was all Kennedy's fault...  Just an obvious 
substitute for me, anyway...

Willow:  Buffy!

Buffy:  Sorry, Will...  (french kisses her)

Willow:  She wanted to know details about all our adventures before 
she came along...  So, I told her.

Xander:  Including all the comforting.

Willow:  Yeah.  A-and...  (sniff)  She started yelling at me...  
unnngh...  Oh, Buffy...  That's very...  mmmm...

Xander:  And, you thought she'd be...  understanding?!!

Willow:  Tara was.

Buffy:  Yeah!  Tara helped Willow comfort me through a lot of 
things.  Like when you guys brought me back?  I needed a lot of 
comfort, then.

Xander:  You and Tara both...  comforted...  Buffy...

Willow:  We'd been comforting Dawn all Summer...  

Xander:  Dawn?!!!

Buffy:  Yeah, I know, young, but just a few months younger than we 
were when we first comforted each other...  And then Tara comforted 
me during all that stuff with Spike...

Willow:  I don't know what I would have done without you after Tara 
died...

Buffy:  We both needed a lot of comfort, then... 

Willow:  We were all leaning on you, though...  You were still 
comforting Anya.

Xander:  You WHAT?!!

Buffy:  You left her at the ALTER!!!  So, I HAD to comfort her!  
Quite a lot, actually...  Months...

Willow:  Y'know, I think she was over it way before she stopped 
asking you for comfort.

Buffy:  Um, Xander...  I'm kind of at a stage in the comforting 
process where we need some privacy...

Xander:  Fine...  (leaves room and closes door, very shaken)

Giles:  Ah, Xander.  What's wrong?

Xander:  Nothing!  And I don't need comforted!  (storms out)

Giles:  Well...  I'm glad to hear that.  (walks to Buffy's door)

Willow:  (from inside)  UHHH!!!  OHHH!!!  BUFFYYYY!!!

Giles:  Ah, Willow's had some trauma.  I'll leave Buffy to it...  
(goes do main entrance room)

Faith:  (running up)  Giles!  Where's B?

Giles:  She's, um, indisposed at the moment...  

Faith:  I need her...

Giles:  What's wrong?

Faith:  Robin and I broke up...  And, um, I'm all upset about it, 
y'know?

Giles:  Ah...  She's, um, comforting Willow at the moment, I'm 
afraid.

Faith:  Damn...  Well, she could probably use some help?  And then 
they can comfort me!  (runs to Buffy's room)

Giles:  Sigh...  Slayers...
