Well, the drift came about because we were exploring what makes for a
good ship.  It's as much about how the actors play it as it is about
what the writers write.  Spuffy came about entirely from how JM and
SMG played their scenes, together, and how their respective characters
developed.  But, they could have just as easily had a canon ship build
from how Sarah and others played their scenes, together, and how the
characters developed.

Yep.  There's plenty to base the ship on, but mainly, it just works,
for some reason.  They just mesh so well.
