Heya, not to disregard the rest of your post or anything, but I have nothing to add or comment about it, nor do I want to answer, at this point, the way Chris intended the thread or in the manner it devolved. I do want to ask you about the Mercedes Lackey bit of your post (even though that would make this slightly OT). You actually met her? Or were introduced to her works? And is that stuff in a book? My friends made me start reading her books and, though I've only read 3, I like these things.

 

To keep this somewhat on topic, I like B/W msot, but also read a wide variety of pairings pretty much all but 4 including Buffy in them. Yet, when people start having the discussions like they were, I don't take them as personal attacks or attacks on the 'ship, just as people expressing their opinions/feelings on the matter. What this discussion did wasn't bashing; this list has had bashing of some kind on it before and that was not it.
