B/W Untouchable 1/7

Summary:  Buffy is the Slayer but Spike and Angel are human and 
attend Sunnydale High with Buffy.  Set at the start of Season 3ish, 
before Faith arrives (she may turn up at some point).  Spike and 
Angel are the most popular guys in school and they've both started 
noticing Buffy.  Both have caught her eye as well (who wouldn't 
notice them) but who will capture her heart?&

Author's Notes:  Willow and Oz broke up at the end of season 2 but 
are still friends, as did Cordelia and Xander. This is probably 
going to be my only fic unless I get some major inspiration!  It's 
my first fic so if it's terrible, sorry.

Warning:  There will be some B/A and B/S moments but it will be B/W -
honestly!  Also watch out 'cos this is totally unbetaed, so any 
grammar, punctuation and spelling mistakes - I'm sorry

Disclaimer:  They don't belong to me although I wish they did.  If I 
did I wouldn't need to write fanfic.  Anyway, the characters aren't 
mine, they don't belong to me, they belong to Joss Whedon and Mutant 
Enemy etc - please don't sue me :P

Feedback: WWould be much appreciated!  If you don't like it, tell 
me 'cos if no-one likes it I won't bother to post it!  As I say, 
it's my first fic so I don't know if anyone will like my writing so 
tell me either way please!

Rating: PG13 until the last chapter which will be NC-17

Chapter 1 - The Dream

As the sunlight began to creep gently across the bed, the beautiful 
occupant was slowly awakening from a pleasant dream.  It was one 
where she was with someone, someone who loved her more than she ever 
thought possible, however, whenever she tried to glimpse at who this 
someone was, they would move to prevent her from seeing them.  In 
the dream, she was sat between their legs, resting against their 
chest with their arms wrapped around her waist.  Occasionally a kiss 
from soft lips would descend upon the back of her neck.  They were 
in a field, or maybe a park, she couldn't tell, sat under a huge and 
luscious tree with branches which bent down slightly to shade them 
from the full glare of the sun, but not enough to prevent them from 
feeling it's warmth.  Nothing was said, they just sat there in 
silence, enjoying the other's presence and nothing could reach them, 
especially the darkness of Buffy's calling.  They were untouchable 
together.

Then the sunlight reached her face and reality swam into being as 
the dream was lost.  Trying to recapture the dream, Buffy pulled her 
pillow over her face to try and pretend that it wasn't time to get 
up yet.  She had almost succeeded in convincing herself of that when 
her alarm clock started beeping unacceptably loudly in Buffy's 
opinion so she decided to teach it a lesson.  `Brii-uh' was the 
noise it made as a hand imbued with Slayer-strength smacked it 
across the room with deadly accuracy to slam into the wall and fall 
into a pile of shoes at the bottom of her wardrobe which she left 
open at night.  `That's better' she thought as she rolled over to 
sleep once more.  Or at least she would have if her mother, Joyce 
Summers, hadn't bustled in at that moment, trying to make Buffy wake 
up.  For a fleeting moment Buffy considered doing exactly the same 
to her mum as she had done to her alarm clock but then thought 
better of it.  Disgruntled and definitely sleepy, the Slayer 
emerged, realising that there was no way she'd get back to sleep now 
and thus no way to recapture that relaxing dream.  

As frustrated as Buffy was that she hadn't seen the person she was 
with and the fact that she had been awoken from it, Buffy could not 
help but smile gently at the thought of her dream as she thought 
about it the entire time she was getting ready for school.  After 
slipping into light beige trousers and a deep red vest top, she 
pulled a brush through her honey-gold hair and decided to leave it 
loose for the day and tie it up later for training with Giles.  She 
grabbed her bag and a Poptart as she ran out the door to go to 
Willow's house as she felt like walking to school with her.

When she reached Willow's house, her Slayer hearing picked up on 
Willow moving around in the hall, probably about to walk out of her 
house.  An evil grin crossed Buffy's face as she crept into some 
bushes by the sidewalk where Willow would be walking past.  She 
watched as Willow stepped out of her house and turned to lock up her 
house.  Her parents were away&..again.  As Willow wasn't expecting 
any company on the walk to school she headed off, her hair catching 
in the early morning California sun, causing it to gleam a stunning 
auburn colour.  Buffy stared transfixed from her position in the 
bushes wondering `How could Xander not notice how beautiful she is?` 
and almost missed the fact that Willow had walked past already.  
Using all the stealth her Slayery-self could muster, she sneaked up 
behind Willow and grabbed her arm suddenly.  Willow screamed and 
spun round, waving a stake at an incapacitated Buffy.  Buffy was 
doubled up laughing but managed to get out something to the effect 
of 
`Geez Will, you should've seen your face.'  It was meant in the 
nicest possible way and Willow knew it so she put on a pouty face 
and pretended to be mad.  However, Buffy didn't realise it was a 
fake angry face and so proceeded to start firing off numerous 
apologies. 
`I'm so sorry Will, I shouldn't have done that, it was really stupid 
and did I mention how sorry I am?'  The pleading mixed with sadness 
in Buffy's face caused Willow's resolve to crumble and her face 
broke out into a bright Willow smile which in Buffy's eyes made 
everything brighter. 
`It's OK Buff,' Willow assured the distressed Slayer, `I know it was 
only a joke, oh and hi by the way.'. 
`Hi' Buffy agreed, then added, `next time I'll just say that rather 
than trying to scare the hell outta you.'
`Really Buffy, don't worry about it, I'm fine and I wasn't even that 
scared.'  Buffy attempted to contradict her but was cut off by 
Willow's playful glare which meant `don't say a word.' so instead 
she went for the other point that had made her laugh so much.
`Will, you do realise it's daytime, don't you?'
`Yeah, why?'
`Well it's just this,' she bent down to pick up the stake Willow had 
dropped, `wouldn't do much good unless you're being attacked by a 
cloud of ash which used to be a vampire.  I really need to tutor you 
in the well-known facts about vampires.' she said as she broke into 
a grin and handed back Willow's stake.   Willow pouted at these 
comments and started muttering about how she was just being 
precautious and how she pulled out a stake on reflex when threatened 
now.  Buffy wasn't listening though, she was distracted by how 
tempting Willow's lips looked when they were pouting.  Brushing that 
thought aside as one of those 'God, I wish I looked like that.' 
thoughts however, she linked her arm in Willow's and the walked off 
to school, chatting happily about everything and nothing.  They were 
unaffected by anything, they were untouchable.
