Summary:  What fun is that?

        Giles and the potentials arrive later than they do in the 
actual episode, just so I have time to play.

	Buffy sat next to Willow in the Summer's living room 
watching her research information on "The First" with her laptop.  
Xander was busy sweeping glass up off of the floor from their latest 
encounter.  Buffy leaned slightly over Willow's shoulder to see the 
screen a little better.  Willow's breath caught, but Buffy didn't 
notice.

	<Oh goddess!  Why does she have to do this to me?  Her hair 
smells so good, and she's just so close, and& NO!  No Willow!  She's 
your best friend, not to mention totally and completely straight and 
unaware of your feelings.  And it will stay that way.  No ruining 
the best friendliness that is us.  If she knew how I felt about her 
she'd hate me.  I couldn't live with that.  If she&>

	"Nothing, and nothing."  

Anya said, holding up the books she was reading, bringing Willow out 
of her mental ramblings.

	"Yeah, my search isn't turning anything up either.  Are you 
sure this thing called itself "The First"?"  

Willow asked Buffy, turning towards her.  This brought their faces 
centimeters apart.  Green eyes met another pair for just a little 
too long.

< I wanna kiss her so bad!  Just do it!  Grab her, push her against 
the wall, and just kiss her like you know you want to!  Oh yeah.  
No!  What the hell is wrong with you Buffy?  You're straight.   
Remember?  Men, men, men!  Ha!  Keep telling yourself that.  Maybe 
you'll sound a little more convincing the next 700 times you say 
it.  She's just so beautiful, and smart, and funny, and so 
incredibly sexy.  Just tell her how you feel.  It's not like she's 
not into girls.  Yeah, but she's not into you.  Oh God, she's still 
waiting for an answer.  Say something! >

"Pretty sure." 

Buffy said, turning around quickly, and looking out the broken 
living room window.

Willow thought, as Buffy got up from her seat with wide eyes.
