Note the exclamation point.   I had no idea you were on the list, and
just about jumped up and down when this came in.  (Fortunately for my
downstairs neighbors, I restrained myself.)  "Chase vs. Chase" is one of
my all-time faves, and if you'd like to post the ".com" trilogy here,
I'd love for the list to see it.  (Okay, so they should've already
followed the link to your site in the Links section, but still&)

That said, BDSM really isn't my thing.  But you've handled it hotly
before, and I dug most of this, as I felt you kept the characters in
character without slipping into "oh, it's so good to surrender every
vestige of my identity and become merely a hole to be fucked by your
giant dildo", which I find completely anti-erotic, be it fandom or
original fic.  Liked the image of Buffy trying to balance the riding
crop on her back, and the random Roman Empire factoids.

However&while I could buy the idea of Buffy being stimulated to learn
by pleasure/pain, I had a hard time with the final moment, where Buffy
is actually physically afraid Willow will seriously hurt her (by
whipping her clit) and yet they have sex right after that.  Seems less
related to the submission-through-trust that I keep hearing BDSM is
about, and more like a certain incident on a bathroom floor.   Which is
a giant squick for me.

Still, glad to have you here and looking forward to more B/W from you,
when the muse strikes.  Dare we hope your choice of pairing for your
NaNoWriMo warmup bodes well for a B/W epic in the offing?
