Especially after the Third Season episodes of where he kidnaps Willow
to do the Dru spell and then the Vamp Willow in leather arrives.

Yeah, I know it was popular around Seasons 3 and 4, but it pretty well
disappeared, after that.  I never saw the appeal in the first place. 
The Slayer/Vampire dynamic works.  The Slayer/Witch dynamic works. 
The Slayer has enough in common with each.  But, a Vampire/Witch
dynamic doesn't work, at least in the Buffyverse.  Completely wrong
chemical mixture, there.  Why it's seeing a revival is beyond me,
beyond giving the Random Pairing Generator a spin.  The only two
characters among the White Hats that I can see working LESS well
together are Spike and Tara (Yes, I know, it's been done).
