Well, at least as far as Buffy is concerned.  I can cheerfully trash
all her canon 'ships as well as Fuffy.  But Willow, I cannot.  Despite

My dislike for Kennedy is based on her being, as I've said before,
Cordelia without the Charisma.

Well, Chosen was the only real "series finale", as in the only one
planned as a finale, besides Prophesy Girl (when they didn't know if
they'd be renewed).  The last section of Season 5 was changed from
it's original plans, specifically so they could do some things in
Season 6.  

And, it WAS a rule that no romantic relationship on the series could
end well.

Well, I always keep feeling the need to deal with Willow's issues, or
at least what I see as her having issues.  The need to be PC (thanks
to a certain faction that will not be named)forcing orientation
matters to be completely black and white, made Willow a bit
inconsistant, IMO...

OK, the show kept feeling the need to reassert Willow's gayness.  We
were told that Willow really was always gay, and just in denial.  OK,
fine.  That works to explain Oz, but not the fooling around with
Xander, or still reacting to Giles and Dracula after she was with
Tara.  The most unbelievable thing about it, though...

At the same time we were told Willow was always gay, we kept having
Willow go on about how she never had romantic feelings or was ever 
sexually attracted to a woman until Tara.  Willow, so she insisted,
spent all those years around not just Buffy, but Cordy, Amy, Jenny,
AND Faith, without noticing them, without feeling any sort of
attraction, at all.  No, it wasn't until the overwhelming hotness of
Tara...  THAT, I can't buy.  Willow, you LIAR!  :)

They kind of tried to explain that problem away with the whole
"gaydar" discussion between Willow and Kennedy, suggesting Willow
wouldn't pursue anyone not setting it off.  But, Faith proved she had
very accurate "gaydar" when it came to women, figuring Tara out
immediately, and maintained her pursuit of Buffy WHILE she, herself,
was shagging guys.  

Yes, I know, I've put WAY too much thought into this.  It's the Curse
of the Shipper  :)

So, in my most recent stuff, it's been "Willow, meet the Kinsey Scale"
(It's nice when scientific research not only supports my own
observations about sexuality in the real world, but my pet ships, in
the process).  Willow, why don't you notice that very pretty girl
who'll do anything, sacrifice anything, for your happiness?  Y'know,
the one who forgave you after you kicked her out of her own house, and
that after she'd let you move back in after you'd tried to kill her? 
She's put up with an awful lot from you, and just kept loving you. 
And, while I know you were in a relationship at the time, you
shouldn't have kicked an extremely depressed girl when she was down by
going on about how much you like big boobs in front of her.  Since she
was hating herself and the world, the last thing she needed to hear
was that she was unattractive, too.  That kind of thing can drive a
girl into the arms of a soulless demon who makes her feel like she's
attractive and worth something, y'know.

That, and Faith's one track mind.  It's always "Buffy, Buffy, Buffy"  :)
