the debate on this, I do think that Tara is an interesting character, i loved
her in the show and i have read alot of Fanfic based on the W/T ship. But what i
have noticed of late is that the stories are either very squishyly romantic
(which are lovely in there part, but in my opinion make for a bland story)
Change her character somewhat (Making her evil or getting her possessed seems to
be a favorite) or add another character to the ship (W/T/B, W/T/X, and i once
skipped through a W/T/Giles...i may be scarred for life)
So as loved by many as she is,
Tara is Willow's girl, she does not make a good stand alone character.
Faith on the other hand is a force of nature, She can and does stand alone,
where Tara is light she is dark and can bring more angst and substance to a
story (meat for the beast!)
This is just my opinion
