I'm not so sure that the chemistry was there at the end of the series. I don't think it'll shine through in something else. It would seem that what ever feud was brewing behind the scenes did hinder the Buffy / Willow chemistry and I don't think it would ever come back even years after the show ended. Besides, it's hard to see actors so readily identified with a certain character, play someone else and not think of them as their more successful alter ego. It was hard seeing SMG in the Grudge and not comparing Karen to Buffy, though I thought she pulled it off. Seeing SMG and AH together in another movie / series, even if they are enemies, I'd still see Buffy and Willow. The show played enough with the characters that all kinds of scenarios where explored. Except for a Buffy / Willow sexual relationship. Which, you know what, I'd actually might pay good money to see that. :)
