I completely agree with everything you said.
Especially Joss punishing Sarah. I think after the network move Joss and Sarah
fell out. And I firmly belive Joss used Aly in his punishing Sarah.
Although I'm sure Aly was completely in the dark about that. She just thought
she was getting more material. But for Whedon the idea was to Boost Aly on the
show. Use Sarah less. And in a way se would hate. He tried to destroy the
character Sarah lovingly brought to life.
