True. I agree with your points and I think that confidence is a big 
part of it. But, it's more complicated.  
However, innocense, cuteness, and weakness have also its attraction. 
I think that an Alpha is also looking for a non-alpha. Someone to 
take care for. The cute aww effect. Like Buffy to Willow.
I think that's why I like EvilWillow more than VampWillow. Because on 
one hand she's alpha, confident and bad. On the other hand she's also 
weak, emotionally weak and someone you want to help. It's the total 
picture and knowing her character that makes her attractive.
Willow (and Xander too) can play both Alpha and nonApha (Beta?), 
depending on the person. Willow is nonAlpha towards Buffy and Alpha 
towards Xander (which IMO is why Xander only worked in stopping 
Willow in Grave). Willow is protective over Xander, Xander over Buffy 
and Buffy over Willow.

Yup. And that's why Buffy got the hots for Angel. It's funny in this 
episode that Xander notices that Angel is a good looking man, while 
Willow didn't.
And to stay more in this episode. Willow with her red shirt and long 
red hair when they are sitting in the sunshine, she is really 
attractive to me. (More than Evilwillow.)
Xander falls for hotwomen, and Buffy for hot men. What about Willow?:

**Buffy: Hot dog surprise. Be still, my heart. 
Willow: Call me old-fashioned, I don't want any more surprises in my 
hot dogs.**
If I take hot dog as hot boy/girl, I would say that Willow is the 
most matured to relationship of the three. (Which we see later on, 
she gets the best partners). Hot: black and white clothing? Anyway, 
both Angel and the Mantiswoman turn out to have a surprise later on.
