Re: Angel episode discussion
I never considered wiffy until I started to read
fanfic, so I never looked at it before either (esp. in
the earlier seasons). You are so right though, they
really do come alive. Great observation! They are
just great character dynamics who mesh incredibly well
together. Agree about the destiny, power stuff coming
later. It starts with chemistry first, good call.
-lex :-)
p.s. I know I'm a little late responding to this, but
I forgot about it and couldn't figure out why I had an
unread message.

What? No one wants to talk about it? <g>
One thing does shine clear as this first season gets
replayed... (okay, and maybe I'm just slow, but I
never really watched looking for the Wiffy stuff
before) In the scenes where Buffy and Willow are
talking with each other, no matter what or who they're
talking about, they come alive. With everyone else,
they are reserved. When they are together- the facial
expressions, the gestures, the leaning in...
especially in this episode. This is what I kept
seeing over and over through the first seasons, this
is what made me see more. Forget the destiny,
interwoven power stuff- that comes later. What we
have from the beginning is two women who come alive
when they are simply around each other.
There, the season discussion moves on.
