It's going to be a LONG trip... no matter how you work it out.
You can use some travel site like Travelocity to get a general
feel for it... Unless you are using magic to move people around,
you'll want to give her 18-24 hours to get there. But,
fortunately, you don't have to write about the entire trip...
just put in enough so the reader can feel her progress on her
trip - distance and time - (a meal on the plane, in-flight
movie, changing planes in an airport, checking int to a hotel,
looking at her watch - that kind of thing )

Hmmm...

Sunnydale airport --> 
 LA airport (LAX) --> 
  Boston's Logan Airport (BOS) 
  or one of the NYC airports --> 
   Heathrow in London (or that airport in Paris) -->
     Bucharest Airport in Rumania

And then by car or train from there... sounds like fun.
