I did some checkin a flight from LA ( LAX) to
Charles de gaulle airport ( Paris ) would be 11 -13 hours So if i
hadnt checked it would have guessed 7 or 8
I do not write the entire trip in the plane cause
maybe part from some smooching in the dark not much would happen . But at 1
point in the story
somebody ( willow or xander might mention it
in my story So I want to get the facts right ( I know no one is going to
check it )
And taking the train in trough europe , well the
Orient Express will go trough the Balkan ( There is actually a old
style train who rides the original route as told in Murder on the orient express
) and it is a romaticly willow thing to use that

It's going to be a LONG trip... no
matter how you work it out.
You can use some travel site like Travelocity
to get a general
feel for it... Unless you are using magic to move people
around,
you'll want to give her 18-24 hours to get there.
But,
fortunately, you don't have to write about the entire trip...
just
put in enough so the reader can feel her progress on her
trip - distance
and time - (a meal on the plane, in-flight
movie, changing planes in an
airport, checking int to a hotel,
looking at her watch - that kind of thing
)

Hmmm...
Sunnydale airport -->
LA airport
(LAX) -->
Boston's Logan Airport (BOS)
or
one of the NYC airports -->
Heathrow in London (or
that airport in Paris) -->
Bucharest
Airport in Rumania
And then by car or train from there... sounds like
fun.
