I can't tell from that if that means you do or do not want to be 
spoiled. So I'll try to keep it as vague as possible... If you want to 
know more without watching the entire season (if you haven't)...

If you watch the first episode of Season 5 - Buffy starts out as an 
only child (her mother even comments about it in the episode.) - like 
she was for the first 4 seasons (78 episodes). At the end of the 
episode, someone has 'poured water' on the "Instant Baby Sister" tablet 
and there's Dawn.

The how, Why, and Repercussions take the other 21 episodes of Season 5 
to play out.
