Supposedly ever... but "ever" is that time period for when there would 
be accurate records - probably 150-100 or so years.

My point was that Sunnydale at Christmas would have had a lot cooler 
temperature than we normally think. It had moderate weather...(50-60F) 
while it is near desert, it isn't desert itself... and the snow started 
at night when it was even cooler. I've seen it snow, in other parts of 
the world, when the temperature was in the 40's. Not the foot or so, 
sun obscured by clouds thing Sunnydale had going for it, but still 
snow...

So, sure the snow was a freak event. But mechanically speaking, 
whomever pulled that off didn't have to work quite as hard at it as it 
would appear.
