Re: 'School Hard' Discussion

I know we're already onto Inca Mummy Girl, but I figured I'd toss my
thoughts in on this episode. Come on people!

School Hard: 43:55 Run Time
Wiffyness
- Love Willow and Buffy teaming up on Xander's jinx. Also notice how
when they leave, they are both instantly shoulder to shoulder.

- Willow's fiddling with the ring on her hand as Buffy is speaking her
French (that proves wrong). I like how Buffy initiates contact and
drags Willow onto the dance floor. Willow initiates the hand hold
dancing with Buffy (in synch with the music no less!), great moment
there.

- Love Willow bringing up the fact (in a roundabout way) that Angel's
probably had sex with quite a few females. Ya know...Willow sure has a
ton of interest in Angel for Buffy's sake. I wonder if Willow's
focused on what Angel's doing (such as showing up at the Bronze,
whether Buffy's kissed him, etc.) out of jealousy.

- Again with the proximity when Joyce and Snyder return. Our girls are
physically bumping shoulders.

- Willow upon first hearing of Buffy and Angel's close relationship,
seemed to be in awe at the romanticism of it. Ex: Season 1's "Angel"
where she says dreamily, "That is so romantic" upon hearing that Angel
was a perfect gentleman to Buffy. Later in that episode though, Willow
begins basically telling Buffy a littany of reasons why her
relationship with Angel can't work (mirroring Wilkins' pep talk in
Season 3). It seems as of the start of Season 2, Willow doesn't seem
as happy that Buffy and Angel could be having a romantic relationship.
Notice her serious & somewhat worried expression in "When She Was Bad"
when she asked if Angel visited Buffy for kissing purposes. Willow
seems pretty focused on Angel too (thinking Buffy wanted to go to the
Bronze just because Angel might show) and she brings up that Angel is
the reason Buffy isn't focusing (making Angel look bad because he's
hindering Buffy's studying). Not to mention inadvertantly bringing up
the whole sex aspect that Angel's long life could entail, therefore
casting another weight on any potential relationship b/w Buffy and
Angel.

Fan Fic Possibilities
- Their discussion over French homework could turn to discussion on
Angel and relationships in general. Willow could make a subtle comment
about Buffy eyeing the other side for once, and Xander breaks it up
just as Buffy tries to develop that comment further.

- Buffy and Willow could be talking a little longer over the punch.
Willow could let slip that she doesn't see the big deal in Angel.
Buffy could pressure her, and Willow could admit that she feels that
Buffy would be better off dating somebody with-in the group. Could
lead to Willow subtly pushing Buffy to herself, or Buffy realizing
that Willow likes her.

- Maybe give a conversation after they left Xander. Discuss Angel, and
the whole Slayer gig. Leads to Buffy admitting her feelings that Angel
isn't a right choice, but she can't find anybody else. Willow could
offer a girl's night out, which leads to a budding relationship.
