I'm *so* happy that The Bear's keeping RR&R going - it's one of the 
truly great stories.

I re-read his 'Life is Short' recently, after starting back in on 
early Buffy from ep 1 - the artistry is amazing, and early Buffy is 
quite good too. Up until the scene in the Bronze, 'Life is Short' *is* 
what's happening, frame for frame, but with added subtext. When Buffy 
tells Willow in the Bronze ('Welcome to the Hellmouth') that she'll be 
right back? The way the shot is framed, *you can't see their hands*, 
and The Bear has written a whole epic fanfic around what might be 
happening an inch out of frame in that one take. Genius.
