I've only seen the Internet released preview and I agree. I read
this, despite the spoilers, because I still haven't decided if I'm going to read the comic yet. I'm still undecided.

It's good, so far. You do realize how much the actors brought to the characters, though.

Not homophobic, exactly. But it is judgemental and closed-
minded. But hardly any worse than Willow's, "You know Buffy: sweet girl; not that bright."

More frustration that her sister won't talk to her about this serious problem she's having. Context is important, here.

Yes, Joss, sometimes childhood friends grow apart. And sometimes
they grow closer. I personally have lived through both. Why only portray the bad example? Xander could (and really was) the example of growing apart. Willow should have been the opposite. Just for the contrast.

Actually, Buffy and Xander are pretty tight in this, best friends and partners. Xander's gotten the development he should have had in the series. B/X shippers have reason to be pleased, and downright hopeful. We need Willow, preferably without Kennedy, to make it a Trio, again. Or threesome. Whatever. :)

At least it wasn't a crossover!

Yet. :)

I don't know. But I still hope it's not, just because you're so
emphatic about it. I'm willing to bet that, if you're right, I'd be disappointed too.

I don't see how it could be, assuming we're talking about Spike.

I'll accept a tombstone. Or even a wake.

I've got a question. Who is more universally reviled? Riley or
Kennedy? Only a very few seem to like either one. Is there anyone who actually does like both of them?

They each have their fans. I'd say Kennedy is more disliked, though. Riley and Buffy were done in S5, and Riley was married off in S6, so we stopped having reason to be hostile. His status has moved to "Nice guy for a friend, but not good for Buffy as a boyfriend". We were still stuck with Kennedy attached to Willow at the end of the series, and told to accept it as True Love. Add to that, Riley's biggest offence was being dull. Kennedy has being a manipulative jerk in addition to being boring. :)

Willow: "It's a good fight, Buffy, and I want in."
Buffy: "I kinda love you."
