Its nice to think of B/W as canon on some level.  As far as my own writing
or lack there of, I made the conscious choice to completely ignore the
comic.  For me the show ended with Chosen.  I made that choice because I
really like a strong, mature Buffy.  The Buffy who grew into her role as
leader and mother to Dawn. In the very first episode of the comic it was
clear to me that Joss was not going to let Buffy reach her full potential or
not let her grow-up into the skilled general who learned from her mistakes.
