<<Now to the shipper part...Yeah, there was a shipper part, but not really in what was seem, but in what was implied...WHen Willow told Kennedy to stop and she asked why WIllow always seemed to stand up for Buffy...To me it seemed that that had happened a lot before and that the answer seems to be a lot more complex than the best friends thing...To me it always seemed like all the most important developments in Will`s character were somehow influenced by Buffy or their relationship and if felt like that could be pretty much what the argument was about....It`s always about a girl....It`s always about Buffy
Oh, and there was the eye contact...I don`t know who noticed , but mostof the time, especially toward the end , Buffy kept looking in WIllow`s direction...It was almost as if she wasn`t believeing that it was coming fromher too...And most of the time WIllow had her head down....>>
I agree. It was a non shippy-shippy moment. If that makes any sense. I've always sensed this jealousy on Kennedy's part when it came to Willow and Buffy. I first noticed it way back in Bring On TheNight when Kennedy first came into the picture. She seemed very eager to keep Buffy and Willow seperated when they were discussion weapons or something of the sort.
And again in Get It Done I believe, Kennedy was annoyed that Willow initially sided with Buffy when she went all Grr on the potentials. So yep, I'd bet there is some tension in the Willow/Kennedy relationship when it comes to Buffy. Even aside from the fact that Buffy's a real Slayerand Kennedy's only a potential, which must smart too.
You're right about the eye contact, or lack thereof. Willow was purposely avoiding Buffy's gaze for the most part. And I can understand why. But to Will's credit, she put her distrust as tactfully as possible I think. At least compared to everyone else. She questioned Buffy's judgement, that's it. She didn't jump down her throat likeeveryone else. Buffy looked more hurt by Willow's comments, as opposed to the betrayal I was feeling she had towards everyone else. Whichis probably worse in the long run. Willow has always sided with Buffy, against Xander on numerous occasions, and I think Buff took that for granted. She sounded so surprised when Willow said she wasn't backing her up.
The scene really reminded me of the scene back in Dead Man's Party wheneveryone was jumping on Buffy too. And the 'I can't take this from you too Willow" line. I was just waiting for something like that in the scene tonight.
Anyway, rambling, sorry :)
