FIC: Destiny Achieved (3b/3b); It Has Begun

Destiny Achieved
Part 3b - It Has Begun

I'll just get the story started. If you really want to read the disclaimers they're back in part 3a. Now here we go.

*******

"Well G-man," Xander began, "Love to stick around but Anya and I have movie plans. Care to join?"

"That?s quite alright Xander," Giles answered as he watched the girls drive off.

"Your loss. Be back later," he said as he shut the door behind himself and Anya.

Giles was alone in the house. >>It?s just too simple, the text was too clear<< he thought to himself, looking at the book he read it again. It didn?t even say if it was some type of Apocalyptic prophecy, just that there were broken bonds. Something just wasn?t... "Thy final day, the strongest light," Giles read and re-read the words. "As eternal darkness falls...Dear God," he said as he pulled out more books. Buffy?s mother was not the severed bond, it was someone, something else. Now he just had to find out who or what. The sun was growing old as night approached. It was late afternoon now and night would be upon them soon. >>Hurry Rupert<< he told himself >>You must find the severed bond.<<

~ Summers? Residence ~

KNOCK-KNOCK-KNOCK

Joyce headed to the door to see who it could be. "Yes. Hell...oh Buffy," she said surprised by her visitor.

"Mom," was Buffy?s quick answer.

"I thought you wouldn?t...oh, I see you brought Willow with you," she said giving both girls dirty looks.

"Yes I did mom," responded Buffy ignoring her mother?s looks.

"Hello Mrs. Summers,v Willow said trying to get on the woman?s good side.

Joyce simply ignored the red head as she asked her daughter, "What is the point of this Buffy? It was my
understanding that you wouldn?t be coming back."

"We need to talk mom," answered Buffy ignoring her mother?s hurtful words.

"Talk?" Joyce began, "If I remember correctly ?You? were the one who ran out during our last conversation."

"I?d rather forget that," started Buffy, "we just need to..."

"Well, I don?t want to forget," answered Joyce interrupting her daughter?s words.

"Mom, we just need to talk. I know we can work..." Buffy attempted again before getting cut off.

"What is that? Work this out," Joyce answered sarcastically. "There is nothing to work out Buffy. As long as you insist on liking girls we have nothing to talk about.

"That is fair mom, and you know it," said Buffy as she began to get angry.

"And who?s being fair with me Buffy?" asked Joyce quickly. "My daughter has told me that she likes girls, and not just any girl, her best friend of the last few years. I can only imagine everything that?s happened. How long this has been going on. Do you think I?ve forgotten all those high school sleep overs? You Buffy, both of you," she said looking at both girls, "you took advantage of my absence."

"No we didn?t," interrupted Willow getting both women?s attention.

"What?!" Joyce asked clearly annoyed.

"Nothing ever, ever happened Mrs. Summers. This...this is new for both of us," Willow attempted.

"I?m sure it is," Joyce answered not believing a word the girl was saying. "You were both lonely and didn?t want to look any more, you took comfort in each other. I can only imagine how your parents are taking it Willow."

"Actually, they approve and support my decision. They?re getting to know Buffy, they accept both of us," Willow stated matter-o-factly.

"I?m sure they?re loving it," said Joyce once again sarcasm dripping from her words.

"As for the lonely Mrs. Summers," Willow began, pausing for effect, "I was with someone else at the time. Someone that loved me enough to see that I would only be happy with Buffy."

"So big deal," Joyce began forgetting about her aughter, "rebound boyfriends never work. I?m sure you were still lonely."

"I was with Tara and I did love her. She taught me so much and when it came to my happiness she let me go so I could be with Buffy," Willow said taking Buffy?s hand and not listening to what she had just told Joyce.

Joyce showed no mercy as she attacked the red head, "So you were a dyke before any of this happened. You messed with my daughter?s mind, you did this to her. You must?ve done some type of witch spell to get her under your control. I mean look at her, what young man, or in your case, woman, wouldn?t want my daughter? She deserves so much better than you..."

-SLAP!-

No one saw anything until the heard the impact. Buffy, not being able to stand all the things her mother was telling Willow, slapped her.

"How dare you?" the blonde began. "Willow is the best thing in my life, she is my strength. Never before have I been so happy. Now you tell her all this? Don?t you ever, I repeat, EVER talk to her like that again!"

"You forget," Joyce began her voice filled with anger, "you?re the ones who came to me."

"Yes we did" Buffy answered, "and apparently it was the worst thing we could?ve done."

"Looks like it," Joyce answered.

"Well we won?t be making that mistake again," Buffy said gripping Willow?s hand.

"I hope not," Joyce snapped back.

"I really thought that you?d at least attempt to understand," the blonde said pausing, "as a mother I hoped you could accept. I was wrong, but no more."

"I?ve heard this before," Joyce said with a smile on her face, "You?ll come back Buffy, I know you?ll return."

"Never," answered Buffy. "Come on Will, let?s go," she said leading the girl away.

"Yes Willow, follow Buffy?s command," said Joyce loud enough so both girls could hear as they walked away. "I?m sure you two will get so far together" she said sarcasm again in every word.

"Shut up!" Buffy yelled back at her mother as she turned to face her. "We?re leaving and we?ll never be back again." Looking her mother in the eyes she spoke without a drop of emotion in her voice, "Goodbye Joyce, until never."

~ Buffy?s car, in front of Summers residence ~

"I can?t believe she would say that," said Buffy, tears in her eyes, as she banged on the steering wheel.

"It?s ok Buffy," Willow attempted to comfort her friend, her girlfriend.

"No it?s not Will!" began Buffy as emotions washed over her. "When she was telling me, that was ine...but...But when she started telling you those things...I just..." Buffy couldn?t finish.

"Listen to me," Willow said taking Buffy?s face in her hands and forcing her to make eye contact with her. "Everything will be fine Buffy. I don?t care what your mom thinks. I want you, not her. I love you."

"But still..." Buffy attempted.

"Please don?t worry Buffy," Willow said softly, "my only concern is you. We can try to talk to your mom once she calms down,"

"Still, I?m sorry mom..." Buffy began before getting cut off.

"I?m ok Buffy, how are you?" Willow asked softly again.

"I...I could be better," Buffy answered truthfully.

"I know Buffy, I?m sorry," Willow said hugging the girl.

"It?ll be ok Will," Buffy said looking into the girl?s eyes, "as long as I have you."

"Always Love, always," Willow said smiling.

Buffy could only smile back.

"What?" Willow asked due to the look on Buffy?s face.

"You just called me Love," Buffy answered.

After a moment?s thought Willow answered, "Yes, yes I did. Is that a problem?" she asked trying to lighten the mood more.

"I love you Will," was all Buffy could say as tears once again returned to her eyes.

"I love you too Buffy," said Willow before leaning in and kissing the blonde.

"Will," said Buffy in between her girlfriend?s onslaught of kisses.

"Yeah Buffy," Willow answered also in-between kisses.

"You know," she began, "it?s not that...*KISS*...I don?t love your...*KISS*...smoochies..."

"You haven?t complained yet," Willow got in between kisses.

"Yeah," began Buffy again, "but maybe...*KISS*...it would be best...*KISS*..."

"Yes," Willow answered.

"...if we continued...*KISS*..." Buffy attempted, "if we continued back at the dorms," Buffy finally managed.

Willow stopped her onslaught as she looked into the eyes of the woman she loved. They were filled with passion and lust, and by the smile on her friends face it was evident that they were thinking the same thing. "That would be perfect," she answered before giving Buffy one last kiss.

~ Buffy and Willow?s dorm room ~

The ride to the dorm rooms had proven to be quite exciting due to the fact that neither girls could keep their hands off each other. It was truly a miracle that they were now walking to their room. They had calmed down some but were still holding hands. As they made their way to the room they received plenty of stares from their fellow peers. Neither girl even paid attention, their peers stared, Buffy?s mom was mad at them, but they were happy.

By the time they reached their room all cares had been thrown into the wind. They were in such a hurry to continue their smoochie fest that they almost forgot to lock the door, almost. As soon as the lock was set their lips were once again locked together. Who kissed who first? was not important. The only thing that mattered was that their lips were together. Struggling to remove coats they never broke the kiss as the finally stumbled onto the bed. Once in bed they had no choice but to separate, oxygen was quickly becoming an issue. They pulled apart and just looked into each other?s eyes. Their was lust, passion, hunger, and above all love in both sets of eyes. Willow smiled and
Buffy smiled. Never before had the either girl felt so happy, so safe, so loved.

"I love you, you know that," Buffy said braking the silence.

"Yeah I know," answered Willow as she leaned in once again to claim Buffy?s lips.

"Will," Buffy began.

"Yeah Buffy," Willow answered still kissing the blonde.

"Can I ask you something?" asked Buffy in between kisses.

"Yes of course," answered Willow looking into Buffy?s eyes.

"If...if you..." Buffy attempted.

"Oh Buffy," Willow began, thinking she knew Buffy?s question, "don?t worry, I don?t plan on leaving you. Ever."

Buffy could only smile at the red head.

"What?" asked Willow seeing the look on her friends face.

"I wasn?t going to ask that," answered Buffy with a smile still on her face.

"Oh you weren?t?" answered Willow a little disappointed that she had misunderstood Buffy?s question. "Then what were you going to ask??

"Actually," Buffy began, "I was going to ask you for permission."

"Permission?" Willow questioned. "You don?t need to ask for permission Buffy. If you want just kiss me."

Again Buffy could only smile, but before Willow could ask ?what?? Buffy?s lips were claiming hers. It was a kiss filled with so much promise that neither girl wanted it to end. But Buffy still had to ask her question. She pulled away and looked into Willow?s eyes, smiling as she began to speak again. "That wasn?t what I was going to ask, but I just can?t say no to Willow smoochies," she said before kissing the red head again.

"So what are you trying to ask?" asked Willow continuing the kiss.

"I...*KISS*...I hate to give up...*KISS*...Willow smoochies but...*KISS*...but I need to ask..."

"Yes...*KISS*...yes ask me," Willow managed in between kisses.

"I don?t think...*KISS*...this isn?t help...*KISS*...helping my concentration," Buffy finally managed.

"Oh, oh yes, your question," Willow finally said breaking their smoochie fest.

It took a moment for both girls to gain their composure before Buffy began, "Will."

"Yes Buffy," the red head said looking into the blondes? eyes.

"If you let me...if you would let me, I?d love to love you forever," Buffy said her eyes watering. "Can I Will? Can you let me love you forever?"

Willow fought hard to keep back her tears, "Oh Buffy," she said pinning and kissing the slayer on the bed. "Yes, yes of course I?ll let you. Love me forever Buffy. Forever."

With that said their lips met again. The kiss was more sensual, it was no longer simple raw passion, it was all their emotions in one kiss. A promise of forever.

~ In the realm of Nowhere ~

"The bond has been severed," stated the red head mage as she materialized next to her mate.

"It is forever forfeit," answered the blonde.

"The blanket of night approaches without haste."

"Nothing could prevent its approach," answered the blonde.

"The gates?" questioned the red head.

"All is prepared," was the answer.

A long silence filled the space as the two women oversaw Buffy and Willow.

The mage spoke first, "Is there no other option?" she asked already knowing the answer.

"We have discussed this," the blonde began, "you know, as do I, that their is nothing else that can be done. Have faith my Love, they will triumph."

"And that which is to follow?" asked the mage.

"Only as one are they strong enough," was the quick and simple answer.

Looking into the horizon neither woman could speak, the time had come.

It was the red head mage who spoke first again, "The sun has vanished from the skies, the moon has taken its rule of the land."

"It is time," stated the blonde slayer.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...!!!" the wale could be heard throughout the land.

~ Back at the dorm ~

Buffy continued her assault on Willow?s lips. Slowly she made her way down Willow?s jaw line, down to her collar bone. As her kisses were placed lower her hands began to travel southbound, her kisses becoming more passionate with each touch. Everything in the room was silent except for the low moans coming from both girls. One by one Buffy slowly unbuttoned Willow?s top. With every removed button she made sure to kiss the newly uncovered piece of flesh. All was wonderful. >>Life cannot get any better than this<< each girl thought to themselves. But they lived on the Hellmouth, nothing could be that great for long.

RING-RING-RING

"Phone," Willow attempted to get Buffy?s attention.

"Can wait," was Buffy?s barely coherent answer.

RING-RING-RING

"Buffy, the phone," attempted Willow again.

"They can call back, was Buffy?s answer.

"Buffy," Willow tried again.

"Not now Will," was Buffy?s reply.

RING-RING-RING

"Buffy!" Willow said forcefully.

"Fine, fine," Buffy said finally caving to Willow, "I?ll get it."

Going to the phone she wasn?t too happy, "This better be good," was the blonde?s upset answer.

Willow watched from the bed as Buffy?s facial expressions changed, silence filled the room and Willow knew something was wrong. All she heard Buffy say was, "Cordy? What?s wrong...? What...? How did it...? When did this...? Fuck...! Yes, yes we?re going over to Giles? right now... Where are you...? Good, that?s good, you?ll be here by morning...Don?t worry Cordy, everything will be fine, this will be the last time. I promise."

>>Cordelia?<< Willow thought to herself >>L.A.? Damn it, something is wrong.<<

"Buffy, Buffy what?s wrong?" asked Willow as she got out of the bed.

Buffy was in some type of shock, "Cordy...Wes, on their way," was all she could say.

"Buffy?s what?s wrong?" Willow tried asking again as the blonde moved away from her.

Buffy was too busy dialing Giles? number to listen to Willow, "Need...need to get a hold of Giles. Damn it Giles answer!" she said slamming down the phone.

"Buffy! What?s wrong? Talk to me Buffy, tell me..." Willow attempted as she tried to turn the blonde to face her.

"Don?t touch ME!!!"

-SLAP!-

In that moment all fell silent as time seemed to stand still. Both girls played it back in their minds, everything seemed to stretch out in slow motion even though it had taken less than seconds. Willow had simply attempted to get Buffy?s attention, Buffy simply reacted without thinking. Buffy had planned on turn to face the red head but in that moment all her frustrations caught up with her. In her pivot to the red head she had backhanded her, hard. She still wasn?t sure if she had done it on purpose. Now the red head was back on the bed, anger filling her eyes as she held her throbbing left cheek. It was Buffy who broke the silence of the moment.

"Will I..." she attempted.

"Don?t bother," was Willow?s angry reply.

"I didn?t mean..." Buffy tried again, tears coming to her eyes.

"But you did," was Willow?s emotionless answer. "I don?t know what the hell is wrong, but to tell you the truth I don?t give a fuck right now. I am going to leave. Don?t try to stop me."

With that she buttoned up her shirt and grabbed her coat, "And don?t you ever!, ever touch me again!" She headed out of the room.

Buffy quickly followed in a futile attempt to get the girl to reconsider. Willow had also grabbed Buffy?s car keys so by the time they made it to the parking lot Buffy didn?t stand a chance of stopping her. She stood in the lot alone, tears freely falling from her eyes, she was in complete total pain. She stood there for a moment until she remembered the phone call.

"Giles," she said as she ran back to the room.

As quickly as possible she dialed the number this time receiving an answer. "Giles it?s Buffy. Cordy just called. I?m not sure how, what happened. She?s on her way, Wesley too. I don?t know how it could?ve happened. Last time it was me, this time...I just have to end it...forever. Then Will, I hit Will, Giles. I don?t know...she just took off. I?m not worth her love. I can?t do..."

"Buffy, Buffy calm down," Giles finally managed to jump in. "Just slow down, tell me what?s going on. Why are Cordelia and Wesley coming? What about Angel? Is it Angel, Buffy? Is Angel in trouble? I would think he?d call himself if..."

"No Giles," Buffy answered, "It?s not Angel."

"Buffy? Buffy what?s wrong?" asked Giles hearing the fear in Buffy?s voice.

"It?s Angelus," Buffy answered, her voice trembling, "he?s returned."
