Hi, I think the reason he ( Ira Rosenberg) is often written this way is that it is
easy. All we know about him is that A) he would freak if he ever saw a crusifix in his
daughters roomand B) he would have to be the type of man to actually marry the Shwlia
Rosenberg as found in the "MOO" episode. That said, it creates the image of an
extrodinarily rigid and obnoxious person.. Fanfiction writers thrive on potential.
WHen the information concerning a character is open to the author's interpertation.
Take the whole Graham-mania, he must of said three lines in the show, so we can write
him as we like. Many writers empithize with Willow (including me) we see her
lonleyness, and want to punish thoes who we blame for it. The amounts of times Willow
and Xander's "loved ones" have come to an untimley demise is numerous because the small
amount of information given has pointed in a pretty negative direction, createing
subsext about unspoken pain. And...Uh...Yeah. That's it I guess.
