OT - 'Normal Again' discussion--My Idea

I don't think its AU or anything like it. Remember at the end of the 
episode Buffy was still poisoned--thus she could see her mother 
crying and the doctor's light she just chose not to react.

Remember she said: "I can't sit down until I have the antidote?" 

I also think that her mother's words were produced in some from the 
real Joyce--if only from the woman that Buffy remembered. 

Oh man, one thing I'd noticed as a FF writer is that Buffy never 
shares her emotions, hurts, problems with anyone. Now we finally, 
finally, have the answer: the one time she did share her fear instead 
of comforting her--her parents shipped her off to the mental ward! 

I really, really, liked this episode, and it may become one of my top 
five of all time.
