You have a really good point there. I'm honestly not sure what to think
anymore regarding the series going past the 7 year mark. It pretty much all
ride's on Sarah at this point. But honestly I think you're right about
Scooby Doo. I have this feeling it's going to tank. And if it does that
might be good for Buffy fans if Sarah's movie career isn't going over as
well. So who knows. Everyone has been saying that UPN is disappointed
with the way Buffy has been doing in the ratings. But I was under the
impression that it's doing just as well as it was on WB, and UPN is in fewer
households. Besides, didn't UPN have the best quarter ever because of Buffy
and Enterprise? I'm really not that in the know about this stuff, but it
seems to me that wouldn't be a cause for disappointment. And if the ratings
hold up next year I'm sure UPN would still want to hang on to the show.

As for the going out in a blaze of publicity. Well you're right. If they
did do the B/W pairing it would certainly generate buzz. And I'm sure the
ratings would be spiked by curious viewers who just might be hooked by what
they see. I honestly can't see it being a terribly bad thing. Joss
experimented with it with Willow and Tara and the reception was pretty good.
So would it be that alienating to have Buffy be with Willow instead of Tara?
I just can't see that happening. Although I have a feeling it would piss off
alot of B/S ships.

Besides, UPN is known for their testosterone filled programming, what with
Smackdown and all. I'm sure UPN would be up for some girl/girl action,
especially when the two girls are Aly and Sarah LOL
