Hey I'm always up for giving piggy back rides DEM

In fact, I'm gonna borrow my own spoiler space.

<<Tara will do some interpretation of Will's meaning or look and
I find myself totally scratching my head. (Man, you shoulda heard me
describing my immediate reaction to that scene. I went totally
ballistic. Glad I had time to calm down before I saw the whole ep, cuz
otherwise I woulda been seething for at least half an hour.)>>

Now that you mention it, I can think of quite a few other times that Tara has
been totally off when it comes to Willow. It's pretty bad when the audience
knows the character better than the characters girlfriend. Or the writer
maybe, depending on just who is writing Tara at the time I suppose. That was
bugging me ever since I saw the clip at the beginning of last week, and I had
to keep my mouth shut LOL

<<What I found REALLY interesting, tho, was that Willow didn't back down
and "forgive" Tara's blunder. When Will said she "wasn't..." Tara
tried to lighten the mood by referring to their marathon and apparently
noisy sex antics, but Willow didn't go with her: She stayed focussed on
being worried about Buffy.>>

Yep, she stay focused on her Buff. And even managed to drag herself out of
bed from Tara to go and talk to Buffy. Now that would have been a perfect
opportunity to have the B/W heart to heart I've been craving all season. But
nope, they had to make sure there was plenty of Willow/Tara cuddles the
entire ep, no time for best friend bonding.

<<I'm not sure I liked the editing of that scene, btw.>>

Yeah to me the commercial cut seemed like a very odd place. I guess they
were trying to make it a bit of a cliffhanger to see if Spike would succeed
or Buffy would give in, but it really fell flat for me.

<<I still don't believe they will go
there if for no other reason that SMG and NB have zilch *sexual*
chemistry and are way too siblingy at this point, but I gotta admit
that ME seemed to be testing the waters. >>

Well as much as I'm not of fan of Spuffy because I don't think the chemistry
is there, among other things, the Buffy/Xander chemistry is non existant
compared. They just don't have the spark, it's friendly and that's it. I
wonder what made them test the waters to begin with though. It makes you
wonder if Spike is definitely out of the picture for good, it certainly seems
that way.

The only other thing I can maybe think of is that they have them bonding
because it will be them against Willow in the upcoming episodes, so they
wanted to strike up the repoire with them a couple eps ahead of time. I
still hope that it's not a set up for next season though. With the theme
being 'Buffy Year One' I am a bit worried. Xander had the biggest crush on
her the first season :(

That does make you wonder where Anya will fit in though next year.

<<So all the energy was contained in a dyad instead of a triad, so
B/X *seemed* more intense than normal. IOW, their intensity was
partially a result of plotting necessity... ya know?>>

Yeah plotwise it was the only real option. Tara and Willow needed to be
together, it was day so Dawn was at school, plus they wanted to set it up for
Dawn to find Tara I'm assuming, so she won't even know about Buffy. Having
Willow down with Buffy and Xander wouldn't have worked because she would have
been so focused on Buffy that Tara upstairs wouldn't have occured to her, and
without finding Tara's body she wouldn't go all vengeancy. Yet another plot
driven scene. They're starting to annoy me LOL

<<hmmm...something's brewing on the horizon with B/W, something that goes
beyond Witchy Willow. I can't wait!>>

I certainly hope so. Can't you just see Black Magic Willow screaming at
Buffy for not telling her about Spike, or something like that in her
vengeancy state.

after a shift at the Doublemeat."
Willow:"Plus, I'd visit you at work every single day."
