A calm response to Tara's death that doesn't involve profanity, be still
my heart!!
But seriously though, you're right, even highly trained I doubt Tara could
have moved fast enough. The whole shooting took about 5 - 7 seconds tops,
which is barely enough time for your brain to recognize the sound and then
tell your body to turn, move or drop to the floor. I think I read that most
people tend to 'freeze' for just a few seconds when reacting to the
unexpected.
To quote Daria: "Life sucks, and then you die"
It's funny I remember a British cop show from the late 80's where the line
was very similar, "Life's a bitch, and then you die."

I thought I heard a rumour about Spike being turned into a human or
mortal, by the demon he went to see. Now wouldn't that be a twist. Hehehehhe
BTW, why an onion? Since it peels away and has inner layers? If so,
interesting view on Spike. But I think he doesn't have that many "layers" to
him. Since we've seen he wasn't all that deep or interesting as a human.

That seemed a lot clearer in my head, giving up now
