OT:: Re: IT: Prioritising]
Greetings,
Intresting. In an effort to practice what I was preaching I tried to email
this to Dan privatly but it bounced off your webtv server or something. You
might wanna have that looked into Dan.
Having no other recourse I'm gonna have to post it here.
Actually, jibberingjabbering aside I'm just dropping this line to seek
clarification on a wee point that stems from this:
>>About the message board: I keep wanting to get it going again, but I
keep holding back on possibilities for a board only, because I want to
incorporate it into the larger IKOLY archive and site.
What is the source code? Quindo told me he still has all the files from
JAABAW
backed up. Is this what you are referring too? For, if this is the case, than
I encourage you to just grab a temp board.
By the by- I have to state that, while numbers and conversations are all well
and good, Off Topic IS Off topic. Take for example: The Roman Senate.
If The Roman Senate had very deep, meaningful and expressive conversations
about philosphy, art, the advancements of the sciences and that really cute
slave girl with the very nice ass they would be, true, having wonderful
conversations and probably a swell time.
Also the Republic would have ground to a halt.
Why?
Because those deep, meaningful subjects are, lets say it all together now,
OFF
TOPIC.
Fine, have the conversations, fine start the threads but could we,
PLEAAAASSEEE see an encouragement of PRIVATE responses?
It's NOT just wading through gobs of OT's Danspector, though that is a large
part of it, it has to do with refinment. Near the end of S5 it was far larger
part of the posts being dedicated to FB and/or posting.
Now, it is not.
Simple.
Though I have to give you a large chunk o'credit for that weekly index thing.
That's veddy, veddy nice.(Not as nice as a roman slave girl with a perfect
ass, but, y'know, nice.)
I remain, as always,
Mad-Hamlet
W.B. Yeats: What rough beast, its hour come at last, slouches toward Bethlehem
to be born?
Mad-Hamlet: Me.
